How to Freeze Avocados

I saw this trick floating around on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.  Thankfully, I also saw it the week avocados were $0.33 a piece at my local grocery store!  Crazy, right!  Well, this totally worked!  Here is a step-by-step look at how to preserve avocados with cling wrap by freezing them.

Here's What You Do
Pick out your avocados.  Don't know how?
In the store, pop off the stem/stub.
If it's brown underneath, the avocado is bad.
If it's green underneath, the avocado is juuust right.
Carefully cut the avocado in half, working around the pit.
Remove the pit.
Rip off a small piece of cling wrap and place avocado skin side up.
Starting in one corner, pull cling wrap over avocado, working in a circle.
This will ensure you don't wrap too much air into the avocado.
Place in a freezer safe bag and mark with the date.
Avocados are good up to 3 months.
They will brown a bit through this process but they still taste delicious!
So buy those avocados cheap and preserve them for later.
